Head and neck abscesses in dogs


This retrospective observational study is recruiting cases of dogs that have been medically treated for a head and neck abscess, where a foreign body could not be identified on imaging. If you think you can contribute cases to this study, please contact the primary author (Syn Yoo Choi) directly:

Inclusion criteria

•Head or neck abscess identified based on cytology or imaging (CT or ultrasound)
•Treated with medical management alone after foreign body was not identified on diagnostic imaging
•Minimum of 1 year follow-up done

Exclusion criteria

•Surgical exploration was performed prior to investigation and medical treatment
•No imaging was performed
•Foreign body identified on imaging
•Incomplete follow-up in medical records or not provided by owner questionnaire

Laparoscopic liver lobectomy in dogs
This study is recruiting dogs that have undergone a laparoscopic liver lobectomy (even if subsequently converted), with either the patient being over 15kg or the mass being over 5cm (or both).
